Privacy Policy
We collect your Minecraft username and basic session data to run the client and its online features. We do not sell your data. We do not track what you do in-game beyond what's needed for cosmetics and the friend system to work.
1. Who we are
BejaClient is an independent Minecraft client developed and maintained by the BejaClient team. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is used.
2. Data we collect
When you use BejaClient, we may collect:
- Minecraft account identifier — your UUID and username, obtained through Microsoft/Mojang authentication. Used to identify your account for cosmetics and the friend system.
- Launcher version and platform — the version of BejaClient and your operating system. Used to deliver the correct update and adapter files.
- Crash reports — if you opt in, anonymous error logs sent when the client crashes. No personal information is attached.
- Cosmetic preferences — which cosmetics you have equipped. Stored on our servers so your setup persists across devices.
We do not collect your Minecraft password, payment information, or any data about your gameplay sessions (position, chat, servers visited).
3. How we use your data
- To authenticate you and load your cosmetics.
- To operate the friend system and show your online status to friends you have added.
- To deliver launcher and adapter updates.
- To diagnose crashes and improve stability (opt-in only).
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Data storage
Account data is stored on our API server. Data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us on Discord — we will remove your data within 30 days.
5. Third-party services
BejaClient integrates with the following third-party services:
- Microsoft / Mojang — for Minecraft account authentication. Subject to Microsoft's Privacy Policy.
- Modrinth — for mod browsing. Searches made in the mod browser are sent to Modrinth's API. Subject to Modrinth's Privacy Policy.
6. Children's privacy
BejaClient is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the client evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be announced on our Discord server.
